Deborah Owen-Sohocki, MS, LPC is a licensed therapist, educator, coach, author, and energy worker. Her passion is to assist all ages to achieve personal clarity leading to authentic heart centered living. Carl Jung’s words: “Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens” accurately describes Deb’s intention in working with others. In her private practice at the Center for Heart Based Living she incorporates heart centered therapy, EMDR™, soul detective tools, archetypes, the Trinity Table™, shamanism, music, and movement to facilitate the growth and inner healing of her clients. She assists children and adults to move through major life transitions such as chronic illness, death, divorce, depression, and other traumas and come out of their experiences realizing they are greater than their wounds. As a workshop presenter, she speaks and trains on topics of heart centered clarity, stress reduction, resilience and spirituality. Her workshop audience consists primarily of schools, parents, hospice workers, women, and spiritual groups. Deborah has presented nationally and internationally since 1992. As a certified teacher she has taught at every grade level including college. She is a licensed HeartMath® coach and Resilient Educator® since 2005. Deborah is certified by Caroline Myss to teach the study of archetypes and sacred contracts. She is a shaman in the Laika tradition of the South Andes. Deborah is certified by the Institute for Energy Medicine to teach Dying Consciously, The Greatest Journey. She is one of the authors of Positive Discipline: A Teacher’s A—Z Guide. Deborah is a mother of two, a stepmother of four and grandmother of 7.
